Gabriel Chand

Gabriel Chand founded Chand & Company Law Corporation in 2007. He has extensive litigation experience, having appeared before all of the divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Federal Court of Canada, the British Columbia Provincial Court, the British Columbia Supreme Court, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.  Gabriel has also appeared as lead counsel in proceedings before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Gabriel was an instructor at the University of British Columbia for over 20 years, and he served as a public representative on the Discipline Committee of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIS), the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Committee (ICCRC), and the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) for over 15 years.  He has given speeches, seminars and put on workshops on immigration-related issues for individuals, various organizations and educational institutions across Canada and overseas, including in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Mexico, and Argentina.

Gabriel currently represents many Canadian companies in addressing their labour needs by assisting skilled foreign workers into Canada.  He is an advocate for human rights and justice, is devoted to assisting families reunite in Canada, is committed to preserving the liberty interests of migrants in Canada, and works tirelessly to assist people in need of protection.  Gabriel has commented on immigration issues, refugee issues, and human rights issues in both the local and national media, throughout Canada.
