Applying to remain in Canada as a temporary resident permit holder
Applicants who are inadmissible to Canada are not permitted to enter Canada, for any purpose. However, there is a special type of permit called a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) which allows a foreign national to enter Canada on a temporary basis, even though the foreign national is inadmissible to Canada.
TRP applications are highly discretionary and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Our law firm has tremendous experience with preparing TRP applications to overcome various forms of inadmissibility.
